SEPTEMBER 2011
October 16th, Sunday 2-4pm, Fall Harvest Fair. Our High School and Jr. High students are always a huge help to run this event. This year we will again work with Salem Christian School to put on the event. We had several hundred kids and families last year, and this is a great outreach opportunity for our church to show love and caring for families in our community.
NOVEMBER
November 18th, Friday Night 6:30pm-7:00am Saturday Moning, Word of Life Superbowl. This is an outrageous ALL NIGHT event that starts at a Manchester Monarch’s hockey game. Its followed up with a night of huge prizes, food, and fun. They rent out a Fun Center, College Gym, Bowling Alley, Skating rink, etc. and pack the night with all kinds of events with hundreds of Christian kids. This is a great opportunity to bring a friend to youth group, they will have a blast and also hear a relevant gospel message. Cost will be $60 which covers everything, due by Friday Oct 8th with permission slip. Check out the video below:

DECEMBER
Advent Conspiracy. This is a grass-roots, internet based movement to bring meaning to this Christmas Season. Basically, we’re encouraging each other to forego one gift this year and donate that money to Living Water which digs wells to provide fresh water to impoverished areas. Bell Ringing for the Salvation Army. Ding-a-ling-a-ling Baby! What happens when you combine freezing outside wind, snow, people shopping, a bell & red bucket, and a smiling face? . . . MONEY for families in need! We want to help the Salvation Army with their annual Christmas drive fundraiser which raises money for their many good programs that serve and help others in the name of Christ. December 8th, Thursday 7-9pm, Journey to Bethlehem at Windham Bible Chapel. We’ll go to journey and stop by McDonalds after to continue fellowshiping!
December 31st-January 1st, Friday – Saturday, New Years Eve All Night Party! Come join hundreds? of your closest Christian friends for an all night event! This is a multi-church youth group event. Large group games, crazy games with prizes, video games on big screens, pizza, 20 foot long ice cream sundae, all night movie theater . . . don’t bring a sleeping bag because you will not sleep!

January 16th, Monday (Martin Luther King Day), Ski Trip to Pat’s Peak! We’ll leave church at 11am, ski at Pat’s Peak from 1-7pm, arrive back that night by 9pm. This is a great event to bring a friend to. ~$39 includes rentals and snow tubing. You can also get a really cheap ski lesson for beginers. FEBRUARY
Feb 3-5th, Friday-Sunday, Deep Freeze Winter Camp at Berea –This is an awesome winter camp weekend up in the snow at Camp Berea! The speaker is Stuart Hall and worship band Circle Slide. Tons of great organized games with lots of free time to sled, play basketball & carpetball, and hang-out with a cup of cocoa. Cost is $150 and is worth every penny. As always if your family needs help paying for camp, please have mom or dad call me ’cause we can often help with the expenses. Don’t let money stop you from getting to camp! February 29th, Wednesday Night 5-8pm, Fundraiser Dinner at Family Night. Youth Group Fundraiser Dinner 6pm – help from 5-8pm. The fundraiser will primarily support our summer mission trip. This is our church’s regular family night meal, so we will serve about 80 people.
MARCH
March 1st, Thursday, 2-4pm, Sledding at Hickory Hill Golf Course, 200 North Lowell Street, Methuen, MA 01844. From 93 take 110/113 exit towards dracut, follow slight right on 113, Golf course is on left. Bring money for pizza after.
March 23rd, Friday, 3-6pm, Laser Tag. Come join our Jr. High group for Laser Tag! You’ll have a blast . . . literally. This is a great way to spend some time with your younger Christian brothers and sisters.
March 28th, Wednesday, 4-8pm, Youth Group Fundraiser Dinner during family night. See how you can help . . . get food donations, set up, cook, serve, and clean up. This dinner will raise money for our summer mission trip.
APRIL
April 19-21, Thursday-Saturday, 30 Hour Famine Weekend! We will raise money for World Vision who provides food for impoverished communities all over the world. The statistics are startling and very real: every 12 seconds a child dies from lack of food or clean water. This year, the Gathering will host a kick off event at New Life Church in Haverhill on Thursday night at 7pm. We will start the fast at 1:00pm Friday and end at 7pm Saturday. We will work with Work Camp New England and The Gathering. We will fast, pray, raise awareness, raise money, and do service projects. Check out 30HF website at http://www.30hourfamine.org/ April 21, Saturday 9am-5pm, Work Camp New England. As part of the 30 Hour Famine, The Gathering Churches will serve with Work Camp New England. The work sites will vary from group to group, just come prepared to serve with the heart of Jesus. 6pm, all the work groups will meet at Rockingham Mall food court to break the fast, then back to Rockingham Christian Church for a worship and testimonies. Kawabunga Dudes!

April 28 , Saturday, Iron Sharpens Iron Men’s Conference. The men’s ministry from our church will be going as a group this great men’s event in Portsmouth, NH. The event is open to young men 15 years old and up. Click here to find out more.

May 13th, Sunday 8:00am-10:00am - Mother’s Day Pancake Breakfast. Fundraiser for our summer mission trip. Bring dad out to help serve, cook, and clean up! Give mom a nice easy morning . . .
June 24th – July 1st, Summer Mission Trip to New York City! The sights, sound, and needs of the city. Plus possibly a broadway show and Hillsong NY! Amazing.
August 1-4th, Wednesday-Saturday, Soul Fest Music Festival. Check out the SoulFest website at http://www.thesoulfest.com/ SoulFest is a safe, family friendly environment, full of incredible concerts. . . don’t miss it!
August, Bless the City Week in Haverhill. This is a week of mission work in Haverhill with our great friend Jeff Masters and Somebody Cares New England. More details to come, but this is a great week of local mission experience in Haverhill.
